Masoquista is an event that discusses the intersectionality of queer communities in different circles. The machismo within Latinx communities is something quite prevalent and was the basis of this event. However, it has evolved to include different ways that being queer can manifest itself in different spaces

Noche Dorada is a nationally held gala event that commemorates and celebrates annual topics that respective chapters take on depending on their campus and chapter culture. At UConn, we choose annual topics to give direction towards the events and programming throughout the academic year. Topics in the past have included, the dream act, Latinos in higher education, Latinos in the arts, and the 5 year chapter celebration
La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Incorporated was founded on February 19, 1982. The week on which this day falls, we host a week of events. The goal is to celebrate the fraternity's Founder's Day and bring more awareness to the goals and ideals of La Fraternidad.
Since Lambda Upsilon Lambda is a Latino-based Fraternity, it is important to recognize the shared culture and celebrate accordingly. Lambda Bodega is a fundraising sale which raises money for a good cause while giving people a taste of the culture that makes up the fraternity
